45 years ago, a group of concerned youth, parents, elected officials, school personnel, clergy, mental health professionals and members of law enforcement from the Village of Wheeling came together to discuss the shared goal of responding to the challenges encountered by adolescents and their families. From those discussions, Omni House Youth Services Bureau was created. They chose "omni," derived from the Latin word "omnis," meaning "for all," to reflect that this would be a place for all youth and families to find needed resources and support.
