The Request
Although the building was generously donated, it needs a great deal of rehab work to optimize it for successful, safe, efficient and strategic programming.
New outdoor lighting, heating system, roofing, parking areas and ADA compliant bathrooms are all required to ensure safe and legally compliant space. Additionally, OMNI must reconfigure and update the building interior for adequate group and individual counseling spaces, community outreach services and substance abuse and teen pregnancy prevention work in order to use the space most effectively for its diverse programs over the next 45 years.
The cost to establish the OMNI Youth Services Borden Family Center and expanded programs of counseling, youth development and community outreach will be $1,250,000 with $940,000 already secured.
